LinksPulse — Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 24, 2026  •  Last Updated: October 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how The Penelope Group LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in LinksPulse ("the App"). LinksPulse recommends which Central Florida golf course to play, given where you are starting from, when you want to play, and what matters to you.

The short version. LinksPulse has no accounts. We do not know who you are, and we keep no record of your use of the App. To show real drive times, the App sends your starting point, rounded to about 100 meters and with nothing that identifies you, to our routing service, which asks TomTom for the drive times and keeps that rounded point for at most an hour. To show Pro's price and whether Pro is unlocked, the App checks with our purchase provider using a random, anonymous ID it creates on your phone, along with your device's app identifier. If you buy Pro, Apple handles the payment and that anonymous ID is recorded as having bought it; none of this is linked to your name or email.

1. Information We Collect

We collect nothing about who you are. We operate no account system and no database. The one service we run, for drive times, receives a rounded starting point and nothing else about you (Section 3). There is no sign-up, no email address, no username and no password. We have no way to contact you and no profile of you to build, sell or lose. The one exception is a purchase record: so the App can show and recognize Pro, our purchase provider receives an anonymous ID and your device's app identifier (Section 3).

The App does handle a small amount of information locally on your device, described below. What leaves your device is a rounded starting point for drive times and, if you make one, a record of a Pro purchase (Section 3).

2. Location

Location is optional. The App works fully without it: instead of your device's position you can choose a starting area from a list (for example, the Disney area), and every feature behaves the same way.

If you do choose to start from your current location:

Typing a starting place (a hotel, street address or town) is the other way to set where you start. What you type is sent to Apple's map search, which returns its location. If Apple's search is unavailable or finds nothing, the text goes to our routing service instead, which looks it up with TomTom. The place it finds is then used exactly like a current location, above. The App keeps the place it found (its name and position) on your phone as part of your saved plan, below, so it does not have to look it up again; the text you typed is not kept.

The same applies when you pick one of the preset starting areas, although those are fixed points built into the App and say nothing about you.

3. What Leaves Your Device, and Where It Goes

Only the routing service ever receives anything about you, and only a rounded starting point. The weather and alert services are asked about the courses, never about you.

ServiceOperated byWhat it receives
Open-Meteo (weather forecast) Open-Meteo Only the fixed coordinates of the golf courses, which are built into the App
National Weather Service (weather alerts) U.S. National Weather Service Only the fixed coordinates of the golf courses, which are built into the App
LinksPulse routing service, which passes the request to TomTom (drive times and place lookup) The Penelope Group LLC, hosted by Cloudflare, Inc.; routes by TomTom International B.V. Your starting point, rounded to about 100 meters, or the place you typed if Apple's search could not find it, plus the fixed course coordinates. Nothing that identifies you or your device. The rounded point is cached for at most an hour.
Apple map search (only if you type a starting place) Apple The text you typed, to look up its location
RevenueCat (Pro purchase records) RevenueCat, Inc. A random, anonymous ID created by the App, your device's identifier for our apps (Apple's Identifier for Vendor, IDFV), your purchase history for LinksPulse from Apple, and basic device details (such as iOS version, App version and storefront country). Never your name, email, location or payment details. Sent each time the App opens, whether or not you buy Pro, and used only to show Pro's price and know whether Pro is unlocked.

These services receive your device's IP address as an unavoidable consequence of your device making a network request, exactly as any website you visit would. We do not control what they do with it; their own privacy policies apply: Open-Meteo, National Weather Service, RevenueCat, TomTom, Cloudflare.

Payments. If you buy LinksPulse Pro, Apple processes the payment under your Apple ID and Apple's privacy policy. We never see your card or payment details, and we cannot connect a purchase to your name or email.

A few actions hand you over to someone else, and only when you take them:

4. What Is Stored on Your Device

The App saves a small amount of data in its own private storage on your phone:

None of this is transmitted anywhere, except as described above for drive times. It is readable only by the App, and deleting the App deletes all of it. That is the complete data deletion procedure; there is nothing on our side to request the deletion of.

5. What We Do Not Do

6. Children's Privacy

LinksPulse is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because the App has no accounts and collects nothing, there is no children's data for us to hold or delete. A parent with questions is welcome to contact us at the address below.

7. Your Rights

Privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give you rights to access, correct, delete and port the personal information a company holds about you, and to object to its processing.

We hold no personal information about you, so there is nothing for us to produce, correct, export or erase. A Pro purchase record is tied only to a random ID we cannot connect to you; if you want it removed, email us and we will ask you for the details needed to find it. Everything the App keeps is on your own device and under your own control, and uninstalling the App removes it. If you believe we hold information about you, write to us and we will tell you plainly what we find.

8. Security

All network requests the App makes use encrypted HTTPS connections. Because we store nothing, the usual risk of a breach exposing your data does not apply here — there is no store of user data to breach.

9. Changes to This Policy

If the App gains a feature that changes any of the above — real driving times, live tee-time availability from a booking partner, a purchase, or anything that sends information to a server of ours or anyone else's — this policy will be updated before that version is released, the "Last Updated" date will change, and the change will be described here rather than silently absorbed.

October 7, 2026: sections 1 and 3 now say that RevenueCat also receives your device's identifier for our apps (Apple's Identifier for Vendor, IDFV), which its library sends with every request. The earlier text said we had no way to identify your device. Nothing new is collected; the description is now accurate.

September 30, 2026: sections 3 and 4 and the short version now say that the App checks with our purchase provider, RevenueCat, each time it opens, using a random, anonymous ID, to show Pro's price and whether Pro is unlocked. The earlier text said this happened only if you bought Pro. Nothing new is collected; the description is now accurate.
